A BUSY LAST WEEK OF TERM COMING UP
HOMEWORK CENTRE STARTING NEXT TERM
The last week of the first term is suddenly upon us. As always the last
ten weeks have gone very quickly. We have had an excellent start to the
year with well attended parent meetings, the formation of a Pacific Islands
Parents Group, excellent fundraising events, sporting achievements by
our students (especially in swimming and athletics), steady roll growth,
stable staffing, challenging classroom programmes, visiting performers,
school picnic to name but a few.
We have a number of things happening next week as well.
On Monday and Tuesday a self defence class for year 7/8 girls will be
held in the school. It will be run by The Girls Self Defence Project Aotearoa.
On Wednesday rooms 1 and 2 will be going to see the movie Whale Rider,
as a follow up after reading the book. As Easter falls in the middle of
the holidays, we will be having our own Easter Liturgy in the church on
Thursday at 11.45. it would be lovely to have some parents join us as
well. Friday, April 11, is the final day of the term and the school will
be finishing at 1.00pm. A reminder too, to Board members that three sub
committee meetings are being held this coming Monday, April 7
Personnel at 9.30
Public Relations at 6pm
Property at 7pm
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who have
been involved in and supported the school during this term. The contribution
you make is valued.

TERM TWO
Term Two starts on Monday April 28. We are starting with a three day visit
from the Life Education Caravan. There is a session for parents to visit
the caravan and see what their children are doing on Tuesday afternoon
from 2.30 to 3pm. There are a few things that we know of happening during
the second term and an information sheet with dates and events will be
sent home early in the term
