WELCOME to our newest family, the Sola's. Maliana in room 2, Petelo and Kahimilo in room 1 and Ioane in room 7. It is lovely to have you all here.

Scholastic Book order forms are available from the library. These need to be back by Friday 23

Lunches-I have noticed that some of the older children are bringing packets of biscuits and big bags of chippies for lunch. These are not good for children. Healthy lunches can be ordered through the school.

Computer deal -Westfield Shopping Centre is holding a promotion for schools to win computers. If you shop at Westfield all you do is fill in a form with the name of the school and put it in a box. Computers and other prizes can be won by schools participating

Enrolment forms for Sacred Heart need to be back here or sent to the college by Monday 26-they do not accept late enrolments

FUN RUN - A HUGE SUCCESS
Thank You to all the parents and supporters who helped make Tuesday's Fun Run such a huge success. It was great to see so many parents, grandparents, and pre schoolers enjoying a day out with the kids. While quite a bit of the money has already been collected and brought to school, there are still a few children that need to bring it in. Please make sure your child has both their money and sponsorship form in by Monday.

UNIFORM MEETING
A small but enthusiastic group of parents and Board members met on Wednesday evening for a discussion about the school uniform. It was agreed that it does need looking at with a view to some changes over the next two years. To start this process off, the group will be putting out a questionnaire as well as talking to parents about what we have now and what we would like for the future. Some of the ideas that were discussed included standardising footwear, boys wearing black drill or cotton pants, a long sleeved polo shirt for the winter (instead of the skivvy) and a pinafore/dress for the girls. Start having a think about it, as your opinion will be sought on the school uniform.

HOMEWORK CENTRE
The homework centre is up and running very smoothly, thanks to the hard work of our dedicated parent group. At the moment we have as many children as we can take. If you would like your child to be in the homework group please register them through the school and they will be put on a waiting list. Only children registered can go to the Homework Centre.
Firewood-We still have some wood from the demolition of the Scout Hall. You are welcome to come to school and help yourself to it
