PARENTING-NOT ALWAYS AN EASY JOB
One of the most difficult jobs in the world (and one with the least amount
of training) is being a parent. It is not easy these days with the pressure
put on parents by the media, advertising, financial difficulties etc.
Parents frequently find themselves under a great deal of stress and pressure,
particularly when children push their boundaries to the limit. The school
has available a very good video which offers parents support and demonstrates
different ways of dealing with children when they push the boundaries
and misbehave. Parents are welcome to borrow this video and have a look
at it.
OVERDUE ACCOUNTS
A really big thanks to the families who have paid their swimming money
There are only 5 families left who owe money. Over half the year 7 and
8's have paid their manual money. At the bottom of this notice is the
invoice for the activity fee which has been set at $30 per family, this
covers extra resources that are outside the school's budget.
BAPTISM
Earlier this week we sent home letters to our non preference families
offering them the opportunity to have their children Baptised. We have
been delighted with the response. I would like to encourage parents who
have not sent back the form to think about it over the weekend and send
back the form if they decide to go ahead. If you did not get a letter
but have a child in your family who you would like Baptised, contact Mrs
Birch or Mrs McVey.
