" UNIFORM MEETING
Next Friday, Nov.28 we will have our proposed new uniform on show. We
will be having a meeting at 3.00pm Dec. 4th. If anyone can't make it they
are welcome to discuss any concerns before that day.
FIRST COMMUNION: On Sunday November 23rd, 6 of our children will be making
their First Holy Communion. This is an important event in the lives of
these children and their families and is an occasion to be celebrated
by our whole school community. This is the only time this year that we
have expected children to come together as a school during the weekend.
Mass starts at 10.00am, so children need to be there around 9.50am. We
would like senior children to sit together as they will be doing he singing.
Juniors can sit with their parents. It is expected that ALL children who
have not brought a note to school excusing them. WILL BE THERE.
FOOD: PARENTS PLEASE READ There are still a lot of children starting
their day with pies, chips or fried chicken for breakfast. Many of these
children have chippies, twisties etc for morning tea and then much the
same for lunch.
HOMEWORK CENTRE: The homework centre will be closing on Thursday December
4, and starting again in week 3 of term 1. We will be asking children
to re-enroll at the beginning of next year. There will be a family picnic
on the evening Thursday 4 from about 4.30 onwards. A reminder will be
sent out closer to the time.
ACTIVITY FEES: There are some families who have still not paid Activity
Fees. Could these be paid up before the end of the year. An idea has been
put forward that if the school community could organize a big fundraising
event at the beginning of the year, we would not have to charge activity
fees. We will be putting together a group to look at this at the beginning
of next year.
E.O.T.C. WEEK: All children will be taking part in E.O.T.C. week from
Monday, December 8 to Friday 12th. There will be a charge involved with
this but we will try to keep it as small as possible. A timetable for
this will be put out next week.
LUCKY BOOK CLUB: All orders to be in by December 3rd.
