We have a dedicated team at St Michael's School who are passionate about working in partnership with families, to shape our children into being confident Christian individuals. 
Cate Wafer, Principal
Cate is our newest member of the teaching team and started in Term 4 of 2016. She has a vast experience in the education sector with various roles including Deputy Principal of St Anthony's in Pahiatua. 





Dale Gyton, New Entrants Teacher
Dale teaches in Mother Teresa Class. After having her own children she began teaching at St Michael's part time & is now working full time. She finds the progress the children make in their first year at school very exciting & rewarding. She loves the warm, friendly, community atmosphere at St Michael's school.


Deb Williams, Learning Support
Deb has been with the school for 18 years. She is currently focused on a group of students from all year levels in the Mary McKillop class. She previously taught Years 5 & 6 but enjoys her work in her current role. She enjoys seeing the progress her students make, in reaching their goals.


Noela Paselio, Teacher Aide
Noela has been with the school for 15 years. She teaches alongside Dale in the Mother Teresa class.






Bernadette McVey, Reading Recovery Teacher
Bernadette works part time with the Reading recovery program. She has been with St Michael's for several years in various roles.






Nga Tiaki, Teacher Aide
Nga Tiaki is a teacher aide in the Mother Teresa. 







Albert Maka, Caretaker
Albert has been on the St Michael's staff for 10 years. He always has a smile on his face and keeps the school's grounds and buildings well maintained.





Heather Breen, Uniform Shop Co-ordinator
Heather runs the uniform shop. The uniform shop is open every Wednesday, between 830am and 10am.













Maureen Meiklejohn, Co-Deputy Principal
As well as being Co-Deputy Principal, Maureen is also the Literacy lead teacher. She is a past pupil of St Michael's and often jokes that she loved the school so much, she didn't want to leave. Maureen teaches in the John Bosco class. 



Lynne Provoost, Co-Deputy Principal
Lynne is the Numeracy lead teacher and Co-Deputy Principal. She teaches in the Suzanne Aubert class. 







Eleanor McLeod, Sports Coordinator
Eleanor teaches in the Thomas Aquinas class. She has been teaching at St Michael's since 1998. She is the staff representative on the Board of Trustees. Eleanor is also the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) coach and is the head of sport and health. 



Fia Neru, Community Liaison Teacher
Fia has been teaching at St Michael's for many years. She teaches in the Peter Chanel class. 







Adrianne Rangiwhetu, School Administrator
Adrianne has been with the school for many years. She is pivotal in the smooth running of the school. 





Kirsty Mullany, Teacher Aide
Kirsty teaches alongside Lynn in the Suzanne Aubert class. She has been a teacher aide for 14 years, with the last 10 of those years with us at St Michael's. Kirsty is also the Study Centre Supervisor.




Karen Elliott, Social Worker
Karen works with the school community in a variety of ways eg. if you need assistance at home or accessing health services. Karen works with 3 local schools but is based at St Michael's. She is on site between 8am-9am Monday, Wednesday to Friday and all day on Tuesday. She can be contacted on 0216091920

Jude Spier, Teacher Aide for Learning Support
Jude works alongside Deb in the Mary McKillop class. She supports students with ESOL needs. 





Edna Mahoney, Libarian Teacher Aide
Edna works with students in Years 1 - 4, in our junior school.
